a long tail. His body was scattered with shiny green scales. He had a big head and a pair of big blue
eyeballs which looked like jewellery. Also, he had big paws with very sharp nails, and a giant mouth
and nostrils. He had a happy family who lived in heaven. He had a son and he always told his son to

Mu Qiang assisted the General Qi Tu to fight enemies and win all battles. The King of Heaven gave them
many rewards. Once, the King of Heaven was very angry with a Duke who disobeyed his instructions. Mu
Qiang and Qi Tu were ordered to see the King. He said seriously, “I order both of you to catch the Duke within
ten days. Nobody is allowed to go home unless you win the battle. If you leave the battle, you will be punished
by me.”
There was an evil dragon called Wei Wu. He listened to the King’s order secretly. He got a plan in his head
and it brought a smile to his mouth.
Qi Tu rode Mu Qiang and flew over heaven. Mu Qiang suddenly had a bad feeling that something might
happen. Finally, they had reached the “Corner of Heaven” and started to chase the Duke. But meanwhile, Wei
Wu had started his plan too. He was jealous of Mu Qiang for a long time and wanted to replace him. He made a
trick to poison Mu Qiang‘s son, that would push him to disobey the King’s order and go home to save his son.
In the battle, Mu Qiang heard his son had almost died, so he flew back home immediately. When he arrived
home, the doctor told him that only the King’s “Longevity Peach” could save his son. Mu Qiang knew that it
was a serious crime to steal the peach but he decided to do it. At midnight, Mu Qiang flew quietly back home
with the peach. He made a bowl of peach juice as medicine, gently feeding his son. Overnight, his son recovered.
Mu Qiang felt very happy but told his son sadly, “I need to go to the King and tell him everything. I will not
come back to see you again.”
Mu Qiang saw the King and told him everything. The King was very angry but therefore, the King decided
not to kill him but punished him to sleep for 1000 years on the ground – where he became called The Great Wall
of China. The evil dragon Wei Wu was also killed by the King.
When he heard about the punishment, his son cried. He watched the Great Wall and waited for his father to
come back every day. However, he still remembered his father told him to be honest and never tell lies.
